Covid-19, situation in South Korea: I think it got better

This writing is about the Covid-19 situation in South Korea. I wrote this writing as an letter format to FWB.

Dear my friends

I hope everyone stay healthy. 

We live in unprecedented time. It has changed our lives in terms of our work environment, social behavior, and psychological health. Some are in quarantine and the media made us panicked due to coronavirus pandemic. Even the term "corona blue" came into being. Let me tell you about my country's story based on what i have seen and felt.

When first confirmed case has come, the government overreacted because we shared experience before like this. (Middle East respiratory syndrome in 2015 has spread in South Korea) Not only government but also people are also being scared amid getting this number has been increased. Experiences of MERS virus seems to have helped prepare for the incident. The government had been under tremendous criticism for the spread of the MERS virus.

After February 27th when first super spreader is revealed as the person who believe in persudo-religion that are secretive but widespread like this virus. Since then the number sore up to 500 people each days. East part of countries where the spreader lives seems to be another Wuhan and foreign media paid attention Korea would be new china. With mass testing in the country, 15 days after, things got better. Everyone wore masks, stayed at home and conduct social distancing. There were even a parade of people trying to buy masks out of concern for their health. The government implemented 5-days rotation system for purchasing mask, after they had difficulty in supplying.

Now we have 100 people everyday, so far 9478 confirmed 4811 people are completely cured. That makes only about 3600 people are infected now in the country. You may heard about massive testing and good response of South Korea. I think it is clam down in here and China. But, the thing is Spring has come here, people are bored by self quarantine. Cherry Blossom festival has canceled; but, young people started to came out to appreciate the flowers. in order to end the spread, people shouldn't get insensitive to safety.

As you know I have wedding coming on July. People are canceling the wedding and postponing honeymoon. I am bit worried. Hotels and flight are all booked to Hawaii. I just put some picture in here I took. So let me know how’s the situation your country or where you stay.
